Visit Cassis

A stay in Cassis will allow you to admire some of the world's most famous tourist attractions.

Our village nestles in an indentation between the Calanques on one side and Cap Canaille on the other.

It's a colorful, charming Provencal fishing port, and the gateway to the Côte d'Azur.

The Cap Canaille

One of Europe's highest sea cliffs (394m), one of the most spectacular views of the Mediterranean. Here you overlook the Mediterranean, the calanques, with Cassis and La Ciotat in the distance. A breathtaking panorama that has earned Cap Canaille the nickname of the "Soubeyranes cliff". It can be reached via the famous 15 km Route des Crêtes, which leads from the Gulf of Cassis to the Gulf of La Ciotat: a winding route along the cliffside, world-famous for its changing colors at sunset. This exceptional natural site is a paradise for hikers, romantics and contemplative types.

Calanques National Park

A sanctuary of terrestrial and marine biodiversity, a listed natural jewel. The first peri-urban national park, located between Marseille and Cassis, it is famous for its many impressive calanques, the best-known of which are Port Miou, Port Pin and En Vau. Here, the azure sea meets steep limestone cliffs, creating breathtaking scenery. The ideal site for visitors seeking adventure and natural beauty, perfect for hiking, canoeing, kayaking, diving and climbing.

Le Port de Cassis

An authentically Mediterranean atmosphere, a fishing port at the heart of the town. Surrounded by colorful houses and welcoming cafes, it is a vibrant place bustling with activity and beloved for its charm. Visitors can enjoy strolls along the docks, savor local specialties in the many restaurants, or visit its famous market.

Beaches and creeks

Enjoy intimate coves with soft pebble beaches, the hidden treasures of the Côte d'Azur. They offer heavenly escapes between land and sea, each promising a unique experience, bathed in crystal-clear waters. Plage de Bestouan and Plage de la Grande Mer invite you to relax under the Mediterranean sun, while secret coves, accessible only by sea or via steep paths, offer havens of peace for lovers of nature and seclusion.

Vineyards

Come and taste Provence's oldest terroir and its 12 exceptional AOC estates. Cassidine vineyards are renowned for their elegant, aromatic white wines, characterized by a unique freshness and minerality, the heritage of an exceptional terroir bathed in sunshine and caressed by sea breezes, between sea and mountains. Surrounded by picturesque landscapes, these vineyards invite visitors to discover local winegrowing traditions through tours and tastings. An unforgettable sensory experience, marked by the quality of their wines and the beauty of their surroundings.
